In a world drawn in stark black and white, It’s Just the Way It Is unfolds as a noir-infused tale of longing, secrets, and unexpected loyalty. Set against the moody backdrop of the Baltic coast, a private detective and his aide trail a mysterious saxophonist and a woman with a hidden agenda. A subtle interplay of glances, shadows, and jazz reveals a story where nothing is quite what it seems — yet everything leads to one simple truth. Told through a cinematic lens that blends music, narrative, and montage, this stylized visual journey bridges film noir aesthetics with the emotional resonance of contemporary music.

Director’s notes
Creating It’s Just the Way It Is was an extraordinary journey, both artistically and personally. Collaborating with legendary musicians Franz Dreadhunter and Peter Prentygast brought a raw, magnetic energy to the project — their presence helped ground the noir narrative in something both timeless and fresh. I was also deeply honored to work with the immensely talented actors Malwina Jelistratow and Polish cinema icon Mirosław Zbrojewicz, whose performances gave life and depth to every frame.
This video is my tribute to classic black-and-white cinema, infused with high-contrast visuals, focused light, and panoramic compositions. It’s also a meditation on human connection, trust, and the quiet poetry of the unsaid. I’m grateful to everyone who made this possible. It was, simply, a joy to create.
